Labor Day Beach Party
The Duxbury July 4th Activities Committee wishes to invite all Duxbury residents to the Labor Day Beach Party and Bonfire on Saturday, September 2nd. With summer winding down, what better way to spend the final weekend than a fun evening of music and a raging bonfire with family and friends. Blakeman's and the Cornerstone Lodge will have food available for purchase or feel free to bring your own food. Admission is FREE. Porta-potties will be located in the parking lot.
Saturday, September 2nd
4:00 PM Ian Richardson
6:00 PM The Waves
7:30 PM Bonfire
Please be aware that we expect the resident parking lot and all available oversand access to fill early in the afternoon. Overflow resident vehicles will be able to park at Duxbury Beach Park for no fee. Non-Resident oversand vehicles will be able to park at the usual north lot if the oversand areas have reached their capacity. For the safety of pedestrians who have parked at Duxbury Beach Park, the dirt road between the resident lot and Duxbury Beach Park will be lit and travel on the road may be restricted to one lane as the party winds down.
To ensure a safe event, we ask that you:
DO NOT allow children to climb on the bonfire structure;
Ensure your children have a prearranged meeting place should you get separated;
If any emergency or medical issue should arise, call 911 or got to the public safety staging area next to the guard shack.
We hope you all have a wonderful time at this family oriented event!
